The Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović stated that Borjana Krišto can start the procedure of forming the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina after passing all the necessary checks.
The Presidency of BiH today adopted the Decision on the appointment of Borjana Krišto (HDZ BiH) as the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
“We adopted the decision on the appointment of Borjana Krišto as the chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers with two votes for and one against,” said Cvijanović at the press conference.
As she pointed out, she expects Krišto to include in the work program what the ruling structure has agreed on, and she expressed regret that the Decision was not adopted unanimously.
According to the Law on the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is appointed by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with each new mandate. The appointment decision is then immediately submitted to the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for approval.
The chair of the BiH Council of Ministers takes office after the appointment is approved by the House of Representatives, and confirmation of the appointment must be completed within 30 days from the date of appointment.
