Cyprus was hit by an earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale today, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.
The earthquake was registered at a depth of eight kilometers, 91 kilometers east-southeast of Nicosia, at 15:37 local time.
There is no information about the damage caused so far.
