Therefore, the EU Delegation and the Office of the Special Representative call on the assemblies of Sarajevo and Una-Sana Cantons to urgently resolve the issue of nominating delegates for the FBiH House of Peoples and submit candidate lists to the CIK BiH.
In addition, they encourage other cantonal authorities in which the selection of House of Peoples delegates is not yet fully complete to accelerate the work and conclude the procedure.
“Authorities at various levels in the country have the task of resolving the burning issues in the sense of needs and demands of the citizens and therefore should avoid any further delay,” stressed Daviddi.
Commenting on the process of forming cantonal governments, he indicates the exceptional importance of forming governments at all levels as the highest priority issue.
In this context, he says, the European Union reminds that the selection of delegates for the FBiH House of Peoples should be performed immediately upon convening the cantonal assemblies after holding the elections, and at the latest a month after certification of the election results, the EU Delegation said in a statement.
