Days Of India in Sarajevo: Khatak Dancer Kaveri Sageder to Perform

Venu KathaThe manifestation “Days of India” to be held in Sarajevo and Mostar from December 14 to 16 is organized by the Indian Embassy and the Association of Bosnian-Indian friendship. This event is destined to all those who love Indian culture and art.

On Sunday, December 14, at the Bosnian cultural centre (BKC) in Sarajevo, at 18:00 o’clock the documentary entitled Nirvana and Beyond will be screened.

Famous dancer of the Indian classical dance Kaveri Sageder will, in a play Venu Katha, perform a music story with Kathak dance and a flute. Besides her, Rina Chandra and Haider Khan will also perform in this music part.

The program begins at 18:00 o’clock. The entrance is 5 BAM.

Also on Sunday, from 11:00 to 12:00 there will be a workshop held at the BKC led by Kaveri Sagedar and her group of artists.

On Monday, December 15, at the University of Sarajevo, at 13:00 o’clock the Indian Ambassador to B&H Malay Mishra will hold a presentation “India in the contemporary world”.

Films Jigriti Express and India by choice will be screened the same day at 15:00 o’clock at the Academy of Performing arts.

The classical dance program Venu Katha will be held in Mostar on Tuesday, December 16 at 18:00 o’clock followed by the screening of the documentary India 55555.
