Declaration on Right of Children to Mother Tongue Adopted

At yesterday’s session of the House of Peoples of the FB&H a declaration on the support of the right of children to an education in their mother tongue was adopted, and the right to the national group of subjects.

The delegates adopted the declaration, and it was preceded by a lengthy discussion and consultation with the Serbian club of delegates on whether and how to treat this problem in B&H, where parents from Konjević Polje have been camping out in tents in Sarajevo and protesting. In the end it was decided to discuss the right of every child in B&H to education in their mother tongue, to their national group of subjects.
