The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, visited the Igman Konjic factory today and on that occasion spoke, among other things, about the weapons that the Armed Forces of our country have.
As he said, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are ready to defend the country.
“We have paid for and agreed on five helicopters that we need to import as soon as possible, we have several combat transporters, the first one will arrive in a month at the latest. We have something else agreed to import that there is no one in the region, I can’t say that yet. You will all see that because we will organize a press conference when we get it. We are purchasing radars in which we will invest 30 million BAM and it will be the first time that we will fully control the security of our skies. All these are preparations for our country to be completely stable and independent from anyone,” he said Helez told reporters.
He added that, as far as security is concerned, citizens can be “completely calm and safe because they are protected by the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
“I can tell the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina that while Igmana Konjic and other arms industry factories, citizens should be sure of the security of our borders”.
He is certain that the dedicated industry of BiH is the leader in the Western Balkans and that we are among the significant ones in Europe.
“Europe advocated peace for a long time, it did not think that war would happen. Europe is now waking up because of this in Ukraine, and we have been awake for a long time because of what happened to us,” he said.
He also commented on the fact that at yesterday’s session of the Joint Commission for Defense and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sabina Ćudić’s parliamentary initiative to change the rules for the permission to wear hijab (headscarf) in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina was rejected due to the case of Emela Mujanović.
“We tried to do everything, but with the verdict of the Constitutional Court, my hands are tied. Me and Emela agreed that she will not lose her job. She will be employed in the Ministry of Defense,” Helez said, Klix.ba writes.
