Deputies in the Brčko District Assembly passed a decision on the dismissal of Mayor Esed Kadrić (SDA party) at an extraordinary session today.
Twenty deputies of the District Assembly voted for this decision, three abstained, and six deputies voted against it.
An extraordinary session of the Assembly was scheduled at the request of seven MPs from the Party of BiH, SBB, SDP, NiP and an independent MP from the Roma national minority.
There is a half-hour break in progress, after which the candidate for the new mayor, Zijad Nišić, from the Party for BiH, should submit his exposé.
Twenty-three members of the Assembly voted for his appointment, six abstained, while there were no votes against it.
After voting, Nišić took a solemn oath before the members of the District Assembly.
