Did The Simpsons predict the California Fires?

The Simpsons are often regarded as a series credited with predicting many events over the years, and it seems they may have predicted the current fires as well.

The wildfires spreading across the region have given rise to various conspiracy theories about how they started. One TikTok user shared a clip from an episode of The Simpsons, claiming it predicted the fires that Los Angeles residents are now experiencing.

“In Episode 12 of Season 18, titled ‘Little Big Girl,’ Springfield faces a devastating forest fire that threatens the town and its residents,” the video states.

Additionally, in the same episode, Bart causes a fire as part of one of his pranks, which quickly gets out of control.

Explaining the episode, the TikTok narrator said, “The scenes in this episode are similar to recent events. Wildfires spreading across various regions, destroyed properties, and firefighters’ efforts to contain the flamesit’s all happening now.”

Toward the end of the video, the narrator said he wasn’t sure if this was truly a coincidence or yet another prediction by The Simpsons.

The video posted on TikTok has garnered over 500.000 views. Under the post, many users shared their opinions, writing, “How did they know all this?” “They predicted it again,” “The Simpsons need to make an episode about world peace so it comes true too,” and “The Simpsons already knew all of this.”

To recall, more than 100.000 people have so far been evacuated from affected areas in Los Angeles as wildfires continue to grow due to strong winds. The fires have destroyed nearly 30.000 hectares of land, leaving thousands of buildings in ruins.
