Milorad Dodik stated that the situation will change dramatically after May 2, when the UN General Assembly is supposed to discuss the resolution on Srebrenica, announcing a blockade. If the resolution passes the UN, Dodik stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina will enter a definitive blockade, unable to exist because he sees no reason why Serbs would cooperate with Bosniaks when they want to denigrate them on a global level.
“The situation will change dramatically after May 2, whether we like it or not. Nothing special will happen on May 3, but there will be a Chinese wall in mutual relations,” Dodik told reporters in St. Petersburg, where he met with the Council’s secretary of security of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev.
He stated that Bosniaks do not want to live with Serbs but want to take revenge, to eliminate Republika Srpska.
“To push the label of something like that on an entire nation, knowing that it did not exist, you have the greatest authorities in the field of genocide, the Holocaust, who say that it was not genocide. If we tell, then they want to put us in prison,” said Dodik.
Dodik repeated that there was no genocide in Srebrenica, explaining that there would not have been so much effort to impose that narrative if it had been genocide.
“Obviously, it didn’t happen here, and that’s why there is a need to impose it through court decisions, political processes,” said Dodik.
He reminded that the highest state and political leadership of Republika Srpska, even Serbia, was responsible for individual participation in the events in Srebrenica.
“And people have been judged. According to the casemates, they live in abnormal circumstances. There is a fact that they have been judged. And we can’t change anything,” pointed out Dodik and added that he does not want such a qualification to be attributed to the entire nation.
Dodik stated that the Serbian side demands that the Dayton Agreement, the letter of Dayton and the Constitution be respected in BiH and nothing else, but that “the deep-seated hatred of Bosniaks wants revenge, to carry out some kind of their justice”.
“The operation of the Serbian forces in Srebrenica, no matter how provoked it was, was an unnecessary mistake. I repeated that at the rally in Banja Luka,” said Dodik and added that it is human to express condolences and respect for the victims, but that it does not apply to the other side, Federalna writes.
