The President of Republika Srpska and SNSD party leader Milorad Dodik said today that any possible imposition of changes to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not acceptable, and that any imposition would mean the end of BiH’s European path.

Dodik reiterated that the Republika Srpska will pass its election law if High Representative Christian Schmidt imposes any changes.

“If he dares to do anything regarding the property, we will make a decision on independence,” said Dodik at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He stated that Schmidt gives himself the right to comment on everything, even his visit to Belarus where he met with President Alexander Lukashenko.

He pointed out that no high-ranking representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina interfered in the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that Schmidt “wants to interfere in everything”.

“Who are you to do that? Who gave you that mandate? Who are you to make decisions about land?” asked Dodik.

He believes that the Government of the Republika Srpska should make a decision on the termination of the law on the prohibition of the disposal of military property and that everything be registered with the Republika Srpska.

Russia does not interfere in internal relations in BiH, but defends Dayton from the USA

The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said today in Banja Luka that he respects the fact that the Russian Federation does not interfere in internal relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the assessment that “Russia is one of those defending the Dayton Peace Agreement from the United States of America”.

“I discussed with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin the fact that there is an unelected foreigner in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Putin knew about it before. It is unacceptable for any foreigner to interfere in internal affairs and impose solutions,” said Dodik at a press conference in Banja Luka after returning from Russia and Belarus, where he led the delegation of Republika Srpska in a multi-day visit.

He pointed out that it is important to respect the letter of the Dayton Agreement and that only the parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina can negotiate other arrangements.

Dodik stated that the visit to the Russian Federation and Belarus was very successful. He emphasized that Russia is ready to continue gas deliveries under the same circumstances.

“The conversation with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin was very successful and related to all segments of mutual relations. Putin’s positive attitude towards the Republika Srpska was shown this time as well. Putin is committed to preserving peace in the region,” Dodik said today at a press conference in Banja Luka after returning from Russia and Belarus.

He pointed out that cooperation with Russia continues, which, as he states, was the biggest investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year.

On Monday, February 19, Dodik met with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, in Minsk, and then on Wednesday, February 21, in Kazan, with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who presented him with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

Dodik: On Tuesday in Mostar, a meeting of partners in government at the state level

SNSD President Milorad Dodik announced that on Tuesday, February 27, a new meeting of partners at the government level in BiH will be held in Mostar.

Dodik noted that representatives from Republika Srpska have daily contacts with some people from EU structures and work on issues related to the decision of the European Commission on the status of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“On Tuesday afternoon, a meeting will be held in Mostar, where we will try to finalize some of those details,” announced Dodik at a press conference in Banja Luka.
