The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez is “violating all possible regulations and trying to impose the BiH he wants”, and that the Presidency of BiH is the only one competent to deal with defense issues.
“They think that Bosnia and Herzegovina belongs to them, of course it does not. The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is only responsible for dealing with defense issues, and he (Helez) has some hidden arrangements with the British Minister of Defense. It is illegal, unconstitutional. It is a dramatic violation of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the jurisdiction of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Zukan Helez is violating all living regulations, he is trying to impose the Bosnia and Herzegovina that he wants, in which he conducts defense affairs, especially international ones. He has no such right,” said Dodik.
Commenting on Helez’s statement that there is “intelligence information that the president of Republika Srpska is preparing to escape from Bosnia and Herzegovina”, Dodik said that “perhaps Helez is creating something”.
“Maybe he’s creating something, maybe he heard it from his bar where he often stays, maybe the waitress tipped something off, how do I know,” said Dodik.
According to him, Helez “negotiates secretly and concludes secret agreements beyond the competence of his office, which he did not have the consent of the BiH Presidency”.
“How is it possible that a minister beyond the competence of his office negotiates secretly and concludes some secret agreements about which he did not have the consent of the Presidency of BiH, nor did he inform the Presidency of BiH about it”, stated Dodik.
As he said, he is doing his job and will not stop as long as he has the mandate to do so.
“In any case, I’m here. I see that I’m an attractive topic in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, no one can live without saying something about Dodik,” said Dodik.
