Dodik comments on Removal of RS Flag from Presidency Building

Chairman of BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said that the removal of the Republika Srpska flag in front of his cabinet in the Presidency building is inadmissible and scandalous and obviously represents the attempt by Sefik Dzaferovic and Zeljko Komsic to send him a message that there is no place for Serbs in the Presidency.

“That move symbolically only confirms the intention of the hegemonist circles in Sarajevo to eliminate the Republika Srpska, because the hysterical attack on the Republika Srpska’s flag demonstrates this,” Dodik told Srna.

He stressed that the flag of Republika Srpska in front of his cabinet and at the ceremony of letter credentials of the newly appointed Serbian ambassador, is not a brave, irresponsible, as Dzaferovic and Komsic said.

“This is my need for the symbolic representation of my identity and the people whom I belong and represent. The color and symbolism of the flag does not offend anyone and represents the official visual identity. Who can be offended by this? No one who is kind.

Dodik said that is worrying that the flag was brutally removed after working hours, when no one was present in the cabinet, adding that this points out on the fact that BiH Presidency building is insecure.
