The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, announced today that he will not attend the verdict, which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

He announced that he will remain in Banja Luka to attend the announced rally and session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.

“I will not go and I do not have to. Nobody is forcing me to do so,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.

Dodik called on everyone who came to the Court of BiH to support him not to go there on February 26, but to come to Banja Luka.

“That is what is needed. I will be in Banja Luka,” Dodik said.

In response to Dodik’s call for the opposition to be included in further plans by 12:00 tomorrow at the latest, SDS President Milan Milicevic said that he would come only if Milorad Dodik resigns.

The first-instance verdict against the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the “Official Gazette of the RS”, Miloš Lukić, for disrespecting the decision of the High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, at the Court of BiH.

The BiH Prosecutor’s Office has requested that Dodik and Lukić be sentenced to the maximum penalty provided for by law for this criminal offense, and that they be banned from political work for ten years.

A rally in support of the institutions of the Republika Srpska, led by its president, will be held in Banja Luka on Tuesday, February 25, in front of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska. As announced, the rally will begin at 4:00 p.m. and should last until Wednesday, February 26.
