The chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, talked yesterday at the seat of the Government of the Republika Srpska in East Sarajevo with His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostom of Dabro-Bosnia.

The main topic of the meeting was the construction of the new Church of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist in Konjevic Polje.

Dodik emphasized that the construction of the new church will be financed by the institutions of the Republika Srpska, it was announced from the Cabinet of the chairman of the Presidency of BiH.

Dodik and Metropolitan Chrysostom emphasized that it will be a votive church that will not be an act of any spite, but prayers for peace and blessing for all faithful people.

The church will be built on a new location that will be chosen in the next few days, and parts of the former church of the same name in Konjević Polje will be built into it. The meeting also discussed the construction of a church and memorial complex in Bratunac dedicated to all Serbs who died in Podrinje, which was the initiative of Milorad Dodik with the consent of Metropolitan Chrysostom, Srna news agency reports.
