Dodik: Not even a self-organized Group of Ambassadors can help Schmidt

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said that the high representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, could not be helped even by “a self-organized group of ambassadors in Sarajevo called the Peace Implementation Council (PIK), but only to show the relevant decision of the UN Security Council on his appointment “.

“It is high time for the ambassadors to bring reality into their decision-making and actions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and not to deal exclusively with helping and rescuing Schmidt, who was not legitimately elected to the UN Security Council and whose actions are causing incalculable damage and stopping the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.” , wrote Dodik on the “X” social network.

Dodik stated that Schmidt became “collateral damage of certain frustrated ambassadors, such as Michael Murphy, so now they remembered to save him as a good soldier”.

“As for me, I know very well that I read what is written in the Dayton Peace Agreement and there is no need for anyone to call me to respect it, nor do I need to take anyone’s word for what is written there. Especially not some ambassadors who have shown very bad intentions according to Republika Srpska,” said Dodik.

As a reminder, the ambassadors of the member countries of the Steering Committee of the Peace Implementation Council announced today that they express firm and consistent support for the mandate of High Representative Christian Schmidt and the Office of the High Representative in supervising the implementation of the civilian aspects of the General Framework Agreement for Peace (GFAP). The ambassadors called on the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, to immediately end the policy of non-recognition of the High Representative and non-cooperation with the High Representative, which, they stated, is harmful to the interests of the Republika Srpska.
