The President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik commented on the issue of the adoption of the law on immovable property, which was on the agenda of the National Assembly of RS today.
“The issue of property was resolved by the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution, and we have no intention of sharing that property with BiH, nor can it be taken away from us by anti-Dayton violence and unconstitutional decisions of the Constitutional Court. No court will ever succeed in this, not even theirs, which is not ours.” , wrote Dodik on Twitter.
He added that he supports the National Assembly in passing a law on immovable property used for the functioning of public authorities, which, he said, is neither unconstitutional nor contrary to the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Earlier, at the plenary session held in September of this year, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, deciding on the request of six delegates of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, determined that the Republika Srpska does not have the constitutional authority to regulate the legal matter that is the subject of the Law on Immovable Property Used for the Functioning of Public authorities of Republika Srpska, because it is the jurisdiction of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
