Fugitive from the Bosnian and Herzegovinian (BiH) judiciary for whom a central arrest warrant has been issued and president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, stated that “RS will respond with reciprocal measures if Slovenia adopts a policy of sanctions.”
Dodik spoke about reciprocal measures in an interview with the media.
“If Slovenia and its policy move toward sanctions, we will find a way to respond. Slovenians must know that we in RS will implement reciprocal measures, whatever that may mean. Perhaps Slovenian ministers will be banned from using RS as a transit route,” says Dodik.
He adds that this may seem funny to some, but also recalls the scandal caused by the RS leadership when a German minister had to leave the entity.
“They can laugh about it in Sarajevo, but they will see that it is enforceable,” he says.
Dodik said that RS remains committed to businesspeople from Slovenia, who must understand that their politics are doing them a disservice, Klix.ba writes.
