Yesterday, the president of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik visited the village of Pambukovica in northwest Serbia with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, where he stated that he noticed that Serbia has been elevated and emphasized it is important for a country to be strong.
Vucic announced yesterday that construction of a road from Pambukovica to Ub will begin within seven days and expects the work to be completed by May 6th, and Dodik emphasized that only a well-organized state can promise road construction and stated that Vucic has “undoubtedly elevate Serbia and improved its capacities”.
Reflecting on Vucic’s statement that his visit to Pambukovica and its people are much more important to him than the demands of various officials from countries and institutions of the European Union (EU) who are pressuring Serbia, Dodik said that they also experience such pressures every day in RS.
“Every day they come up with something new in an effort to undermine your identity, to say that we are not a people, that we don’t look towards Serbia, but we persistently do. They think it’s some kind of defiance and that they can make Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) by being violent towards the Serbs, claiming that we should lose our identity or that Serbia is somewhere far out of reach, but it is so close to us,” said Dodik.
The President of RS also stated that “it is very important for the government in Serbia to remain powerful and strong.”
