Milorad Dodik was unanimously re-elected today as the president of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) at the party’s seventh congress in Doboj.
Dodik was supported by 937 delegates who participate in the work of the Parliament and elect the president of the party.
In the report, which he submitted to the Parliament before the vote, Dodik said that the stable republican institutions and assets of the Republika Srpska are never in question, and that the SNSD has been advocating for these issues for years.
Dodik said that the SNSD, together with its coalition partners, always paid attention to all categories of the population in the RS.
He pointed out that “the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has turned into an executor who wants to eliminate the Republika Srpska and it is anti-constitutional, and as such it tramples on Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose Constitution it would have to defend”.
The SNSD Parliament also elected a new Main Committee of the party, which has 410 members.
At the Parliament, the Party Statute was unanimously adopted, which contains certain novelties when it comes to the organization and strengthening of the confidence of the membership in the party and its commitments.
More than 2,000 guests, party sympathizers and other high-ranking officials from the RS, BiH, Serbia, Russia, Hungary, and Romania are attending the SNSD Assembly in Doboj.
