Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik expressed hope on Sunday that Donald Trump would return to power in the United States (U.S.) and announced that Serbs would wait for appropriate global circumstances so that the Republika Srpska (RS) entity could be seceded from BiH, for which he reiterated it was an unsustainable state.
”We have never given up on RS being what it was on January 9th, 1992. We formed the republic as our state and that is what we need,” stated Dodik in Modrica, speaking at the commemoration of the military operation Corridor from 1992.
Serbs will make important decisions very soon
By the decision of the Serbian authorities on January 9th, 1992, RS was proclaimed, which was the introduction to the later war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the military operation Corridor, carried out by Serb forces in the summer of 1992, parts of several Serb regions in BiH and the Republic of Croatia were connected with Serbia.
Dodik is convinced that Serbs will soon make important decisions about their fate in BiH, and he expressed the expectation that Donald Trump will come to power in the U.S. again.
”For the first time in history, Serbs are waiting for right time. We have to be patient, understand the time. Europe inevitably gets confused, has its internal problems. I pray to God that Donald Trump comes to America again,” the member of the Presidency added.
According to him, life is unsustainable in BiH, and he announced the continuation of the blockade of state institutions.
“In RS we have been suffering because of BiH all these years”
”In RS, we have been suffering because of BiH all these years. The success of our state, the success of our freedom is in stopping the transfer to the level of BiH. What is the point of strengthening BiH, building Sarajevo and strengthening it as the capital from which 150.000 Serbs left?,” noted Dodik.
Commenting on the conclusions of the European Council, Dodik assessed that BiH did not receive candidate status just so that foreigners would continue to decide in the country.
”They admit Ukraine, and they tell us to wait. And you know why? So that foreigners would continue to decide here, so that Christian Schmidt and three judges of the Constitutional Court would determine our destiny,” said Dodik, Avaz writes.
