The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, announced that he would raise the issue of vital interest on the proposal of the decision on the recognition of Kosovo.
Dodik confirmed that the proposal of the decision on the recognition of Kosovo was not adopted at today’s extraordinary session of the Presidency of BiH, because he was against it.
He stated that the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska will decide on this issue. Dodik also confirmed that his request to move the BiH Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was rejected. He believes it is important for the Embassy to be relocated.
“This is important because it is proof of friendship towards BiH towards Israel, and I believe that efforts should be supported to determine the seat and to respect that,” Dodik pointed out.
As for his proposal to observe a minute of silence in honor of the first president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Momcilo Krajisnik, a convicted war criminal who died on Tuesday, Dodik said that the other two members of the BiH Presidency refused, but that he would give an order to all consular offices to open a book of condolences.
At a press conference in East Sarajevo, Dodik said that at today’s regular session of the Presidency of BiH, a pandemic of the coronavirus was discussed, stating that BiH has entered the global process of procuring the vaccine. He said that one of the topics was the migrant crisis, emphasizing that an additional number of members of the Border Police would be hired in order to prevent illegal migration.
