Adviser to the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Radovan Kovacevic, said that the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt has no right to impose any decisions in the country and that none will be respected in the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, which does not plan to give up its authentic policy based on the rights and interests of its people.
He emphasized that even if there is a high representative in BiH, he has no right to interfere in the process of making laws and decisions in the country.
According to him, the goal is to influence the election results and who will be the winner in the RS based on the rigid amendments to the BiH Election Law imposed by Schmidt, and not to be those who, regardless of the pressures, are persistently elected by the people in this entity.
The goal, Kovacevic added, is for those favored by those who are doing all this together with Sarajevo and the opposition from RS to win.
Kovacevic pointed out that here “there is a synergy of a part of the international community, the Bosniak political structure and the opposition from RS because their statements and reactions are completely consistent.”
”It is part of a joint effort against RS and we will fight against it with all available democratic means,” said Kovacevic.
He assessed that the latest decisions of the High Representative give the Central Election Commission (CEC) the possibility to remove candidates from the election lists because of statements they do not like.
”When you consider who is in the CEC, that they are not, like before, legal experts who were chosen in a competition, rather, they are people from the election lists of SDS and PDP who were installed there together with SDA, then you can see what the intention of the whole story is,” Kovacevic concluded.
