Defense of the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and acting Director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, will file a complaint with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
They will appeal against the decision of the Extrajudicial Panel, which rejected their request to move the trial to the Basic Court in Banja Luka, lawyer Goran Bubić confirmed on Sunday, reports RTRS.
The deadline for the Appellate Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to respond to the appeal is 15 days. Whether the main trial in the Dodik-Lukić case will be held in Sarajevo or Banja Luka depends on the decision of the Appellate Panel.
The request of the defense to move the trial was previously rejected by the Extra-Trial Chamber, immediately before the originally scheduled main trial. Against a negative decision, the defense will appeal.
On the official website of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the new trial in the trial against Milorad Dodik and Lukić is scheduled for December 20.
Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić are accused of taking official actions from July 1 to 9 of this year in Banja Luka, knowingly and knowing that High Representative Christian Schmidt made a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on Non-Enforcement of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to continue the legislative procedure.
