President of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik pointed out that Denis Becirovic and Zeljko Komsic conveyed to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski “the support of the majority of Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) because both of them came to the Presidency of BiH with the votes of Muslims.”
“These two did not have the legitimacy to speak about the majority mood of the two peoples, let alone the whole BiH. Today in Kyiv, they expressed their private views on the ongoing conflict in that country,” said Dodik yesterday when asked to comment on Becirovic‘s statement that he “expressed the support of the vast majority of BiH citizens to the heroic people of Ukraine.”
Dodik pointed out that it is a shame that Becirovic was not completely accurate and precise in his calculation so that he could say that he speaks only on behalf of 23 percent of BiH.
“Perhaps the population they represented did not support awarding the order to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. But the bottom line is that the population of the Republic that awarded him the order was almost unanimous in their support for such a decision,” emphasized the President of the RS.
He reiterated that RS remains neutral when it comes to the conflict in Ukraine, but also clear “that geopolitical upheavals cannot change the fact that RS and the Russian Federation have good political, economic and cultural ties that will continue in the future.”, Raport reports.
