Donald Trump mocked superstar Taylor Swift, who supported Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in the United States (U.S.) elections after she was booed two days ago at the Super Bowl final in New Orleans.
In the 59th Super Bowl, the final match of the National Football League (NFL), the strongest league in American football, the Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles won the championship title, denying the Chiefs their third consecutive title. Had the Chiefs won, they would have been the first team in NFL history to secure three consecutive titles.
Taylor Swift, who is the girlfriend of one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ stars, Travis Kelce, was booed when her face appeared on the big screens at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans during a break.
Trump attended the final match of the NFL. He is the first U.S. president to attend this highly popular event.
Although he left the stadium shortly after halftime, he did not hold back from mocking the queen of pop.
“The only one who had a rougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.
“They booed her… MAGA is very unforgiving!,” he wrote, referring to his political movement, Make America Great Again (MAGA).
Trump also shared a post from another account showing the contrast between the boos directed at Taylor Swift and the applause and cheers of support he received when his face appeared on the stadium screen during the rendition of the U.S. national anthem.
“Trump got massive support while Taylor Swift was booed – the world is healing,” he wrote.
During the 2024 U.S. presidential election campaign, Swift supported Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, which angered Trump so much that he wrote on his Truth Social network at the time: “I hate Taylor Swift.”
