Parents House within Pediatric Clinic Jezero represents dorms for children that suffer of cancer and their parents who do not live in Sarajevo canton.
Vakuf Directorate of Islamic Community in B&H has donated the money, which will be used for the second phase of the facility construction, for windows and the facade.
600.000 BAM are needed for the second phase of construction and Kubat says that certain donations are already announced, among which the donation of FB&H government in the amount of 80.000 BAM.
The total value of the object is 1.200.000 BAM. If the funds are collected continuously, the facility could be operational by the end of the year.
“The healing process lasts from 6 months to a year and that is a long term process and expensive and we consider that parents house as well as the family atmosphere will help in the healing process”, said Kubat.
Director of Vakuf Directorate of Muslim Community in B&H Senaid Zajimović said that contract of one donation which Vakuf Directorate ensured through donors from Kuwait is signed today.
“Vakuf Directorate has been included in the project since the beginning considering that this project has a great social significance. We intend to continue to collect donations for the construction of the Parents House”, added Zajimović.
