EBRD Promotes Women’s Entrepreneurship in B&H

business-zenaSupport for women in business is a key part of the mission of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and over the years the bank developed specific programs for women’s entrepreneurship.

EBRD, the Association of Women ‘One’ and SheXO Deloitte Club are organizing a conference called ‘Strength of Women’ on Wednesday in Sarajevo.

The program women in business combines advice and assistance for women entrepreneurs. Women’s entrepreneurship can be a key catalyst of economic development, but in B&H the participation rate for women lags behind the developed economies, announced EBRD.

The first EBRD program is dedicated to women, combination of advice, know-how and non-financial support services, and has helped through counseling and trained 51 women entrepreneurs to expand their business. It is financed by Luxembourg, Taiwan-EBRD Fund of cooperation and EBRD Shareholder Special Fund, and the program provides comprehensive support tools.
