Educators in all elementary schools and kindergartens in Sarajevo Canton started a two-hour warning strike this morning, demanding an increase in the employee ratio by at least 10 percent and the signing of a new collective agreement without diminishing the acquired rights of workers.
The strike started this morning at 7:30 a.m. and will last until 9:30 a.m., and will continue for the next two days.
The Primary Education Union announced that they demand strict compliance with the law and the collective agreement, as well as that the cantonal Ministry of Education stop endangering the acquired rights of workers.
The strike is being held because none of the 12 conditions set forth by the decision on the warning strike have been met, the Union of Primary Education announced.
