Electricity prices for households and the economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded growth in the first half of this year, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For households with medium consumption, that is, customers who annually consume between 2,500 and 5,000 kWh of electricity, prices in the first six months of this year were 6.5 percent higher compared to the same period last year. The average price of electricity for that category of consumers, without taxes, was 16.40 KM per 100 kWh, while the price with all taxes and VAT was 19.46 KM.
Price growth was also recorded among non-household consumers. For medium-sized business users, with annual consumption between 500 and 2,000 MWh, electricity prices were higher by 7.7 percent compared to the first half of 2025. In that category, the average price without VAT was 23.19 KM per 100 kWh.
The data show that the average prices of natural gas in BiH in the first half of this year for households amounted to an average of 28.4 KM per gigajoule (GJ) including VAT, or 24.25 KM without VAT.
For non-households, the average price of natural gas was 34.6 KM per GJ with all taxes, while the price without VAT was 29.6 KM per GJ.
