“Strengthening of capacities of the Federal Police Administration and crime-intelligence system in the fight against organized crime, terrorism and violent extremism” is the title of the project which will be implemented by the Embassy of Great Britain in BiH with the Federal Police Administration (FUP) and other security agencies.
The project will last from May 2016 until March 2020, and Great Britain allocated four million BAM for this purpose.
The entire project is related to the segment of crime-intelligence work within the detection of criminal offenses, primarily organized crime, terrorism and violent extremism.
“This is a truly significant project which will be implemented over the next four years at different levels, with the aim of creating a unique intelligence image in the fight against organized crime and terrorism. With this project, we want to enable all police structures to do their job freely,” stated the Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH Edward Ferguson.
In the first part of the project, investments will be made in the systems f registration and distribution of crime-intelligence data. In the next stage comes the introduction of models of police work based on intelligence data, which will be analyzed and where the quality of information exchange will be assessed.
