The introductory meeting of the new project of the European Union and the Council of Europe “Promotion of Diversity and Equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina” will be held on Tuesday in Sarajevo.
The project is funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, worth 650,000 Euros under the Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II program.
Ambassador Drahoslav Stefánek, Representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jasminka Dzumhur, and Assistant Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Salih Duderija will address the opening meeting.
The aim of the project is to improve the functioning of anti-discrimination mechanisms and their accessibility to national minorities and vulnerable groups in accordance with European standards and best practice, including the recommendations of the Council of Europe monitoring bodies.
