”EU at Your Door” in Vlasenica

The countrywide information initiative “EU at Your Door”, launched by the Office of the EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, continues its tour of municipalities across Bosnia and Herzegovina.  This week it will visit Vlasenica, where a one-and-a-half day programme of EU-themed activities will be organised.

Young people and other citizens from the area will have an opportunity to learn more about the EU and to speak directly to EU officials about this country’s EU perspective, on Friday 4 April and Saturday 5 April.

EU representatives will first take part in a debate on Friday that will gather 3^rd and 4^th grade students at the Milorad Vlacic High School. Students will be able to learn more about EU programmes for young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and will have an opportunity to discuss the shared values of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU, with representatives of the EUSR/EU Delegation in BiH.

On Saturday morning EU representatives will meet Vlasenica residents for “Coffee with the EU” at Zvornicanka mall. In the afternoon Henrik Villadsen, EUSR General Legal Counsel and Head of the Legal Office will join Mayor Dragoslav Todorović at the Vlasenica Centre for Sports and Culture to welcome participants in the quiz, talent and entertainment programmes of the EU Show.

The EUSR launched the “EU at Your Door” initiative in cooperation with 15 municipalities across Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of helping citizens to learn more about this country’s EU perspective. After Vlasenica the project will visit Novi Grad on 9-10 April.
