Visitors of the exhibition that will be displayed in July and August in the hall of the Gazi Husrev-Bey’s library will have an opportunity to see photographs taken by Almir Dervišević during his visit to Kuds last year.
“During Ramadan, I had a chance to see and experience the Masjid al-Aqsa, to spend time with the Palestinian people and that place is beautiful. It all inspired me to think more about our relation towards the present and for our future,” said Dervišević at the opening of the exhibition.
One part of the book “Crime against children of Gaza and Vlasenica – a comparative study” by Husejin Omerović is the occupation of Gaza and the area of the Vlasenica Municipality, and crimes against children.
Analyzing the way the children in Gaza, Palestine were killed and the way the children in Vlasenica, BiH were killed, the author concluded that the enemy’s intentions were almost identical, i.e. it was actually a policy of destroying members of other and different national, ethnic, racial and religious group as such, including children, for the purpose of “cleaning the terrain from foreign elements” and taking over their living space.
“Day of Kuds” is marked across the world as a memory of the suffering and difficult life of Palestinians and their disempowerment on their own land.
Organizers of the event are the Association “Young Muslims”, Gai Husrev-Bey’s Library and the Bosnian-Palestinian Friendship Society.
