Namely, this event began with a walk from the Markale City Market and continued with Ferhadija to the City Hall.
Yesterday, the guest of the city of Sarajevo was the Deputy Mayor of Arezzo, Lucia Tanti, who attended a performance performed by Bearers (Bajraktari) from Arezzo.
She stated she was happy that Arezzo could be presented to Sarajevo in such a spectacular way. At the same time, she especially thanked the Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, and the Ambassador of Italy to BiH, Marco Di Ruzzi, who made this possible.
Benjamina Karic expressed her satisfaction because she can host guests from Italy who honored the citizens of Sarajevo with this special performance.
“Culture is an aspect in which we can always find perfect and ideal reasons for cooperation, and Italy and BiH have inherited ideal friendly ties for years. Today‘s visit of the artists Bearers from Arezzo is also the beginning of the celebration of the Italian National Day in Sarajevo,” Karic said yesterday, adding that it is always a pleasure to enjoy diversity.
Italian Ambassador to BiH Marco di Ruzza noted that this is a completely original way to renew and continue the historical, friendly ties between the two countries.
Bearers from Arezzo is a group that has existed for several decades, and whose performances bring something that is a medieval Italian tradition.
“It is not just something beautiful, but artistically and sportingly demanding. By manifesting these medieval traditions, we believe it is very important to remind ourselves of the tradition of the European cultural house to which Italy and BiH belong,” concluded Ambassador Di Ruzza, Klix.ba writes.
