The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Nihad Uk, said that everything is ready for the start of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, which will this year turn Sarajevo into a regional center of film art.
Uk emphasized that for 32 years, the festival has made August in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina special, gathering film professionals, artists, and many visitors.
He especially thanked everyone working behind the scenes – from organizers, volunteers, technicians, to hospitality workers, drivers, police officers, utility workers and journalists.
“The goal is the same every year: to make the festival richer in content, better, and to send a message to the world: an image of Sarajevo as a recognizable global destination,” Uk said.
He added that the Government of Sarajevo Canton, along with its enterprises and institutions, has ensured special support, power supply, maintenance of public areas, and traffic management during the festive days.
“Let the following days, filled with art and the city’s beauty, be a common reason for celebration. See you in Sarajevo,” Uk said.
