
A total of 126 teams, of which 21 international, participated in the exercise. Police officers of SIPA, organized by the British Embassy in B&H, spent three weeks in the First Royal Irish Regiment, where they have been preparing for this event together with officers and soldiers of the battalion of the First Royal Irish Regiment, SIPA announced.
The exercise “Cambrian Patrol” is the most demanding and the most challenging exercise that the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom organize every year since 1956. It was conducted in demanding terrain in the area of the Black Mountains, and the emphasis is on testing the psychological traits in the aspects of teamwork, planning, leadership skills, navigation and reconnaissance.
For the first time since 1956, a team from the Western Balkans region participated in this exercise and it was the first time that the members of a police unit managed to finish the march in the length of 100 kilometers across the Black Mountains and win the bronze medal.
