Exit from the Tourist Crisis: 7,000 years old Ancient City found in Egypt

Archaeologists found the ancient city in Egypt, for which is believed that it is between 5,000 and 7,000 years old, near the River Nile and the Temple of Seti the First at Abydos.

They found houses, a tool made of stone and metal, pottery and tombs.

They believe that important officials and builders of tombs lived in this city and that it had its peak in the early era of Egypt. The graves suggest that the buried people had higher status.

This new finding could lead to an increase of weakened tourism, which is in stagnation in this country since President Hosni Mubarak was ousted back in 2011.

BBC analyst for the Middle East said that the discovery of tombs is the most important and that the inhabitants of this city were responsible for the construction of tombs in the holy city of Abydos.

The site was discovered by local archaeologists, and discovery could not come at a better time to refresh the tourist offer of Egypt.
