Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy allocated Two Million BAM For Support To The Most Vulnerable Citizens

Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delic yesterday signed contracts on the allocation of almost two million BAM from the budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) for support to the development of non-institutional social services.

These funds are directed to more than 40 organizations and institutions that provide daily support to the most vulnerable citizens of FBiH.

Support has been ensured for a number of organizations that contribute to the development of a more humane society and the strengthening of social protection, among others, the Red Cross Tuzla, the Association “Zajedno pod krilima” (Together Under Wings) from Velika Kladusa, the Humanitarian Organization “EMMAUS” from Doboj Istok, the Association “Leptir” from Bugojno, and SOS Kinderdorf International.

“With this transfer, we show that the strength of our community lies in the people and organizations that daily extend a hand of support to those who need it most. This is significant financial support, but also an investment in dignity, equality, and opportunities for the organization of services in the community that prevent the placement of our most vulnerable citizens into institutions of permanent care,” said Delic.

Support for these projects has also been recognized in the Strategy for the Development of the Social and Child Protection System in FBiH, which clearly emphasizes the importance of strengthening social services in the community and expanding the network of non-institutional care, as stated by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
