Tuka started the race confidently, holding the third position in the first 400 meters. In the second lap, he intensified his tempo in the last 200 meters but that was not enough for a place that would take him to the finals of the greatest competition in the world. Tuka ended the semifinal race fourth, with the result of 1:45:24.
Competitors in the race for the finale in Amel’s group were Andreas Bube (Denmark), Rynardt van Rensburg (South Africa), Alfred Kipketer (Kenya), Boris Berian (USA), Brandon McBride (Canada), Mohammed Aman (Ethiopia), and Yassine Hethat (Algeria).
Final race of the best athletes at 800 meters at the Olympic Hames in Rio de Janeiro will be held on August 16.
