First Day of Spring

Spring this year in the northern hemisphere of the earth and in B&H is coming today at 17:57. At the same time, in the earth’s southern hemisphere fall will start. Spring will last until 21 June, when summer will begin.

Spring begins at the moment when the sun, in its apparent annual motion, cuts through the celestial equator and enters the northern hemisphere. On this day, the sun rises exactly in the east, and sets in the west. Day and night will last approximately 12 hours each, and so this day is called spring equinox day.

On the first day of spring, the sun in Sarajevo emerged at 5:50, and sunset will take place at 17:58, announced the FB&H Hydrometeorological Institute (FHMZ) B&H.
