High temperatures prevented the preparation of the ski field in the Bjelašnica Olympic Center for the FIS Europa Cup in the Super-G discipline, which was scheduled for February 17 and 18, so the said event was cancelled.
This decision was made after detailed consideration and consultation of the ZOI’84 organizing committee and OC Bjelašnica with the International Ski Federation (FIS), and prioritizes the safety, well-being of all participants and the integrity of the competition, announced the KJP ZOI’84.
Winter season and skiing 2023/2024. were characterized by unusually high air temperatures, with the absence of precipitation and a large number of competition cancellations. The Skiing World Cup has faced its highest number of cancellations in years, reflecting a relentless battle against an inexorable force of nature.
