As in previous years, this year as well, eminent names from the world of sports are arriving at the international sports symposium “Simposar” in Sarajevo, and this time, true legends are coming to our capital city.
Before us is the 14th edition of the international sports symposium, which will be held in Sarajevo from September 26th to 28th. Otherwise, it is the largest sports symposium in Southeast Europe.
The organizers presented the first two big names who are coming to Simposar, and they are absolute legends of world football. They are Hristo Stoichkov and Jean-Marie Pfaff.
Hristo Stoichkov is one of the greatest names in world football. A legend of the Bulgarian national team and Barcelona, winner of the Ballon d’Or in 1994, the symbol of a generation that brought Bulgaria to the semifinals of the World Cup in the United States (U.S.). His goals, passion, and temperament left an indelible mark on pitches around the world.
Stoichkov, in Barcelona’s jersey, was part of Johan Cruyff’s famous “Dream Team” era, winning the Champions League in 1992 and a number of trophies in Spain.
His career still serves as an inspiration to young football players, while today Stoichkov also stands out as a commentator and football ambassador, always remaining true to his recognizable character.
Jean-Marie Pfaff, the legendary Belgian goalkeeper and former star of Bayern Munich, is one of the most recognizable goalkeepers in the history of football.
His feats in goal marked the eighties, and in 1987, he carried the title of the best goalkeeper in the world, awarded by IFFHS, as the first in history to receive that award.
Pfaff is the symbol of a generation, a man who, with Belgium, reached the semifinals of the World Cup in Mexico in 1986, and remained remembered as a sports ambassador and a true icon.
His charisma and energy are equally strong today, just like his smile that wins over wherever he appears, and the audience in Sarajevo will have the opportunity to meet him, Klix.ba writes.
