Volunteers of the Youth Development Institute KULT, with the support of British Council and local office of International Student’s Organisation AIESEC has organised cascade trainings for 20 young people in Education Centre for Youth ‘Spajalica’ as a part of a program ‘Active Citizens’.
Volunteers focused on themes of affirmative research, power of perception, multiple identities, differences, decision making and negotiating, leadership and activism and volunteerism.
Volunteers Envera Suljić and Ilma Ibrišević are beginners of training program of the British Council who expect that after finishing the training they’ll plan and do socially useful projects in their local communities.
‘Active Citizens’ is a program of British Council from the field of Intercultural dialogue and global citizens which is led by principle of globally connect, locally engaged.
The aim of the program is to contribute to positive social changes within the communities and to globally tenable development by establishing network of leaders which will influence the dialogue with their communities, learn together and work on solving global and local issues.
Since 2009, the program is being realized in 20 countries of Europe, and in 8 countries of Africa and Asia. In BiH the program started in 2010.
