
There is a lot of symbolism in 6 April and 1941, 1945 and 1992, and according to the moderator of the conference Jasna Čalo, it is a date that marked the past, but also determined the future of this city and country.
The Sarajevo City Council adopted a decision on 26 February to award the individual ‘’Sixth April Award of City of Sarajevo’’ 2014 to the well known Sarajevo actress and champion of drama of the National Theatre Sarajevo Nada Đurevska.
‘’Winners of the group ‘’Sixth April Award of City of Sarajevo’’ are architects Ferhad Mulabegović and Smajo Mulaomerović, who did the entire renovation projects of Sarajevo’s Vijećnica from 1996 to 2008. Smajo Mulaomerović will receive the award posthumously.
The collective ‘’sixth April Award of City of Sarajevo’’ will go to the football team of B&H, and the title ‘’Honorary Citizen of Sarajevo’’ will go to Tilman Zulch, President of the International Society for Threatened Peoples from Germany.
The recognition ‘’Graham Bamford“ will be dedicated posthumously to Goran Čengić and Srđan Aleksić. ‘’Plaque of Sarajevo City’’ will be posthumously given to Husein Hasanija or ‘’ čika Mišo’’, shoe cleaner, and the recognition ‘’Sarajevo Snowflake’’ to Edin Talović, B&H songwriter.
Chairperson of the City Council Sabahudin Delalić will open the session on 6 April, and the Mayor of Sarajevo will make an address on occasion of the Day of the city of Sarajevo.
