Of the total 315 nominated films, the films by Džejlan Sefić from Velika Kladuša, Matej Tokić from Kupres, Ivana Šušnjar from Posušje and Jovana Šikanić from Prnjavor will compete for prizes in various categories. Everyone, with the organization of UNICEF, is traveling to Amsterdam, where they will participate in professional film workshops. The selected films will be in three categories: ‘Minute of Freedom’, ‘Upside Down’ and ‘Self-Portrait’. At the festival the winners from all three categories will win the Tommy Award HDFlip Camera.
The methodology of one-minute films by UNICEF in B&H, with the help of partners from non-profit organization Genesis Project, are using as a new model the active involvement of children in addressing issues that concern them. In the framework of the program ‘Strengthening the system of social protection of the inclusion of children in B&H’, which has been implemented in B&H since 2008, thanks to the financial support of the EU, now has over 100 films that have been entirely created by children.
