In several separate actions on the territory of Herzegovina, 7,305 packs of cigarettes and 19.5 kilograms of cut tobacco, without excise stamps, with a total market value of 43,395 BAM, were temporarily seized, the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH announced on Sunday.
In the town of Borci, near Konjic, 6,740 packs of cigarettes were temporarily seized, which were not marked with excise stamps of the ITA BiH, according to Fena news agency.
Field activities were conducted by officers of the Group for the Prevention of Smuggling and Misdemeanors from the regional center of the ITA in Mostar in cooperation with police officers Konjic.
The value of the temporarily seized goods is estimated at 37,070 BAM. In the area of Trebinje, Bileća, Čapljina and Ljubuški, the officers of the Group for the Prevention of Smuggling and Misdemeanors temporarily seized 565 packs of cigarettes and 19.5 kg of cut tobacco.
