Come to the local celebration of the award for employees and activists of the National Museum of BiH, winners of the prestigious Grand Prix 2016 for cultural heritage which is jointly presented by the European Commission and Europa Nostra.
In that period, entrance is free for all citizens. The event program includes a group photo of all citizens and activists who participated in the campaign “I am Museum”, addressing speeches by many prominent guests, refreshment and a special mini concert of the Spanish artist Jordi Savall, one of the most famous virtuosos on viola da gamba and the winner of the prestigious award Grammy.
Maestro Savall was the Ambassador of the European year of intercultural dialogue in 2011. The mini concert will begin at 11:30 am.
This celebration will be an opportunity to pay tribute to the employees of the National Museum of BiH who saved the Museum and its collection by sacrificing themselves and their time during the everyday duties in the Museum. It will also pay tribute to the citizens and activists who participated in the campaign “I am Museum” last year, showing solidarity with the collective of the Museum.
Citizens who want to be on the group photo with the award Europa Nostra that will be shown in domestic and world media are invited to come to the plateau in front of the National Museum of BiH on Friday, October 21, around ten minutes before 11 am.
Citizens, employees and activists gathered in the campaign “I am Museum” are the central focus of this celebration and every one of them will have the opportunity to have an individual photo with the bronze figure of the award Europa Nostra. The photo will be published on the Facebook page of the campaign “I am Museum”.
