For many startups, one right investment meeting can signify a difference between a good idea and a global success. Sarajevo will, for this reason, become a meeting point of male and female investors, venture capital funds, business angels, startup founders, and innovation ecosystem leaders from around the world within the milestone fifth edition of the Business Angel Summit.
In the organization of the Fondacije 787 and BHBAN network, the Business Angel Summit will once again gather key actors of the European and global startup community, confirming its position as one of the most significant investment and startup events in Southeast Europe.
BAS 2026 brings a far more powerful international dimension, and among the first confirmed speakers are some of the most influential names of the European and global startup scene who participated in the growth of hundreds of startup companies worldwide and manage funds worth hundreds of millions of dollars, including Elizabeth Yin, a co-founder and a general partner of the Hustle Fund, one of the most active early-stage investors in the Silicon Valley, as well as Joerg Rheinboldt, a founder and a managing partner in the renowned European Startup Ecosystem, and many other investors and leaders such as Tanja Kuzman, Berthold Baurek-Karlic, Diane Bouis, Nina Dremelj, Aron Braun, Nicolas Berg, Günce Önür, Gerd Bommer, Alessandro Dini, and Jana Budkovskaja.
After four successful editions, which brought to Sarajevo hundreds of investors and representatives of the regional and European startup ecosystem, Business Angel Summit 2026 continues with its mission of connecting promising startups from the region with global capital and knowledge.
This year’s edition will place a special focus on the regional startups that will get a chance to present their companies before the international investors. The best startups from the region will present their business ideas in front of the audience and investment panel, and the winner of this year’s pitch competition will have an opportunity to introduce themselves on the global stage.
Thanks to the partnership of the Fondacija 787, BHBAN network and Pegasus Tech Ventures, the winning startup will directly participate as a regional representative in the finals of the prestigious Startup World Cup, which will be held on November 6, 2026 in San Francisco, where the winner will compete with startups from the entire world for investment and global recognition.
Details of the program, a full list of speakers and an opportunity to participate in this year’s fifth Business Angel Summit will be presented in the upcoming period via social networks of the Fondacija 787 and the BHBAN network, and via the official BHBAN web page. Participation in the Business Angel Summit is possible by invitation or by applying via email at info@bhban.com.
