The greatest success was achieved by Farah Demirovic, who won a gold medal, the first for our country since it began participating in this competition.

Demirovic placed 3rd among European countries, and 8th overall, including strong teams such as the United States (U.S.), Brazil, and Japan, while on the second day of the competition, she achieved the best result among all participants. This is also the best individual result by a student from BiH at this prestigious competition.

The other members of the team also successfully represented BiH, demonstrating knowledge, dedication, and competitive spirit.

Mentor support for the team was provided by Emina Hasanbegovic and Imana Alibasic.

The Minister of Education of Canton Sarajevo (CS), Naida Hota-Muminovic, extended her congratulations to the competitors and their mentors.

“Knowledge brings medals. This is the result of dedication, work, and support from the education system. We are proud of our students who show that BiH is indeed present on the map of global excellence,” said the competent minister.

The Ministry of Education of CS remains firmly committed to investing in knowledge, excellence, and young talents as the most important capital for the future of BiH, it was stated in the press release from the Protocol and Press Office of CS.
