
They presented the project of production of biodegradable plastics made of pineapple leaves in the category of chemistry. They worked 5 months on the project which won in the competition between 146 projects from 35 countries.
“The aim of this project is to make plastics from biodegradable materials, which would be degradable and would not be harmful to environment. We worked on this project under the supervision of mentors from Burch University and Goražde”, said Hajrija Pleh.
Except being an excellent student, Hajrija took participation in BOSEPO, the science Olympics organized by Bosna Sema institutions in cooperation with Burch University, on which young people are given a chance to present their creativity in the spheres of environment, energy and engineering.
Next step was the participation on the International Olympics of innovators, where she, together with her friend Azra Mujkić, successfully presented B&H and signed her name on the list of talented and rewarded scholars of Foundation Hastor.
